Melbourne Rail Freight Terminal

The Melbourne Freight Terminal at South Dynon serves as the main interstate rail hub. Lai Switchboards Australia was engaged by Coleman Rail to supply medium voltage equipment for the Pacific National Dynon Road Terminal upgrade, which involved installing new 11kV cranes and replacing the outdated 6.6kV system with a modern 11kV setup.

Lai’s in-house capabilities—covering design, fabrication, switch room assembly, and electrical fit-out—enabled efficient off-site production and testing. Their dedicated transport division ensured seamless delivery of wide-load components, contributing to the smooth execution of the project.
